The Scott Hennen Show

8 until 11 am

Dubbed by the Wall Street Journal as “The Rush Limbaugh of the Prairie,” Scott Hennen is as comfortable sitting in the Oval Office for a fireside chat with President George W. Bush as he is at the local cafe, speaking with area farmers. He is chairman of the all-new Common Sense Club and will soon host “THE SCOTT HENNEN SHOW”, a chat-room like discussion forum on the top-issues facing this country, our region and your town!  Hennen brought Talkradio as we know it to the Red River Valley in 1987 as General Manager of KCNN in Grand Forks/East Grand Forks. At the time, there were only 200 stations in the country that had an all news/talk format. In August 1988 he signed the Rush Limbaugh Program, which debuted in the Valley and on just 46 other stations across the country. Today, Rush Limbaugh commands an audience of 20 million listeners per week and is syndicated on over 600 stations. Scott’s daily radio show debuted with the event of “Hot Talk” in 1990. The show moved from Grand Forks to Fargo when Scott was named General Manager of WDAY-AM in July 2001. In March of 2008, he resigned from WDAY to become owner of the all-new 50kw AM 1100 “THE FLAG” WZFG Radio and FM 106.9 “THE EAGLE”. In addition to hosting the Scott Hennen Show (which will air weekdays from 8 to 11 am), he is President/CEO of Great Plains Integrated Marketing, the parent company of the am/fm duo of stations and their respected websites. When not supplying the heartland with his fiery brand of passion and common sense, he can be heard guest hosting the nationally syndicated Sean Hannity Show. He was the first radio talk show host from the Upper Midwest ever named to the Talkers Magazine annual list of the Top-100 Most Important Talk Show Hosts in the country. The list expanded to the Talkers Top-250, and Hennen has made the list every year.  He loves to hear from fans of the radio-talk audience and welcomes your feedback.
